From 8200 feet along one side of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in central Colorado, my blog is about many things: travel including river and bicycle trips, and other experiences as well. The focus is on photography, not lots of text.
Three artists of Papaturro, who all do beadwork, came to Patty's for me to photograph them. Results, as I understand it, may end up on a website supporting the work of artisans in El Salvador.

Esperanza, wife of Lolo, near neighbors of Patty, makes tortillas. These are smaller and thicker than tortillas we generally get in the US.

I'm a writer, photographer, and an independent publisher. I've mostly done river guidebooks, but also wrote and photographed Vietnam in the Absence of War about that country and about bicycling there. I'll be working on a book of photographs across the whole United States along or near Highway 50, and another about the building of a motorglider that's now in progress. I encourage comments on this blog. It's the only way I can tell whether anybody's been here.
