High Mountain Doings

From 8200 feet along one side of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in central Colorado, my blog is about many things: travel including river and bicycle trips, and other experiences as well. The focus is on photography, not lots of text.

Slow Progress, but Progress Nonetheless

Progress has been slow lately. Too much else going on. I did get the rudder centering springs installed near the bottom of the vertical fin. These (top photo) run between the inside rear of the fin and the bottom of the rudder bar, to which the rudder will mount in a manner so that it'll be easily removable.

I also started on window installation, tentatively taping the top window in place with the blue tape. I will need to shine a light through from underneath, mark around the rim of the window (here seen still with its protective covering), and spray paint around that rim with black paint. This will result in a more professional-looking job. I have yet to discover just how the window will be made watertight.
