High Mountain Doings

From 8200 feet along one side of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in central Colorado, my blog is about many things: travel including river and bicycle trips, and other experiences as well. The focus is on photography, not lots of text.

Papaturro, School, July 2008

Outside of the elementary school in Papaturro

Girl in one of the classrooms we visited. A pleasant face here!

This is a teacher at the elementary school we visited in Papaturro. School was in session in July, so El Salvador must have a different school schedule than we do.

Below, the teacher running her class, which scene I don't suppose is particularly different from the same scene anywhere in the world.

I was just in Papaturro with a group from Pennsylvania. Some of our members played soccer with the community and the rest of us watched. The girl in the second picture was next to us, laughing her head off at our antics. Her name is Vania (or possibly Esmeralda, but that might have been her friend.) Was such a trip to find her on the web!
