From 8200 feet along one side of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in central Colorado, my blog is about many things: travel including river and bicycle trips, and other experiences as well. The focus is on photography, not lots of text.
A short bridge goes out to a temple on an island in Ha Noi's Hoan Kiem Lake. It is painted red, and lit with red lights. I found this to be one of the best subjects in Ha Noi for a photograph.

I'm a writer, photographer, and an independent publisher. I've mostly done river guidebooks, but also wrote and photographed Vietnam in the Absence of War about that country and about bicycling there. I'll be working on a book of photographs across the whole United States along or near Highway 50, and another about the building of a motorglider that's now in progress. I encourage comments on this blog. It's the only way I can tell whether anybody's been here.
