High Mountain Doings

From 8200 feet along one side of the Upper Arkansas River Valley in central Colorado, my blog is about many things: travel including river and bicycle trips, and other experiences as well. The focus is on photography, not lots of text.

The Souq in Fes

A typical stall in the souq, which consists of hundreds of these. I'm thinking that there
must be a certain bonding between the many proprietors here.

A whole area of tanning vats, which I understand have been in use since the 13th century. If it were possible, I would wish for a series of photographs, each taken from this point at ten-year intervals since then.

A few of a large number of tanning vats where hides are prepared

This man was our guide in the souq.
